We treasure the memory of those dogs that have shared our lives and have crossed over the rainbow bridge. Even though they are not longer physically present, they will forever be with us, for they have left paw prints on our hearts.

Sheba was Merlyn's daughter. She was the very first Afghan Hound that we owned that was the offspring of one of our own. This was when we adopted the "Qadim" name. We were so proud of Merlyn's kids and wanted to have our puppy from the litter carry our name. Sheba was our pride and joy throughout her long and happy life.

These two were a bonded sister/brother pair that we rescued when they were about 5 months old. We were going to register them with the AKC's ILP program so that we could participate in coursing events, but life got busy and it never came to pass. But, we did show them in Parade of Rescue Dog events. If we had registered them, they would have been given formal names, just like our other dogs; they would have been Qadim Desert Rose and Qadim Desert Wind, respectfully. These were two of the sweetest hounds that ever lived.

Khayyam was a black masked red, and was my very first Afghan Hound. Gandalf was a black & tan Pepsi grandson that was bred by Rita Figg, and he was our second Afghan Hound. These two grew up together.

This dogs were by Linda Shipley. Melody passed from an illness and Logan from an unexplained seizure, both too soon. Fortunately, Sesame lived a long and happy life with us.

We also hold in our hearts Joshua, Savannah, Alf, Kaley, and Beaver. These were rescue dogs who were taken from unfortunate situations and found love and safety with us. We treasure the time that we were able to spend with you.
